Want to Come Inside the Monster Mansion? 🖤
You've created the structure. Painted the pages. Added the windows, doors and pockets.
But an empty Mansion is really just waiting for a story.
I've been filling mine with wonderfully weird residents, strange rooms, hidden surprises and all those tiny details that make a handmade journal start to feel like an actual little world.
And I'd love to help you do the same with yours.
We'll create characters, build pages around them and play with things like:
- spooky rooms and settings
- interactive doors and pockets
- portraits and pull-outs
- hidden surprises
- collage elements
- cobwebs and strange little objects
- all the tiny details that make a page feel like somewhere a character actually lives
It's my playful idea generator for creating unexpected monster combinations, oddities, exaggerations, props, companions and other wonderfully weird starting points.
But the Monster Machine is only the beginning.
The real fun is figuring out what happens when your monster moves into the Mansion.
- Maybe it needs a room.
- Maybe there's a portrait of its suspicious great-great-grandmother hanging on the wall.
- Maybe something is hiding behind the door.
- Maybe there's an entire pumpkin patch growing outside.
And before you know it, you're not simply decorating journal pages.
You're building a world.
You can recreate a project with me, borrow one little idea, use the printables, change the characters—or take an idea somewhere completely different.
There are no identical Mansions required here.
Mine became my strange little world.
Yours gets to become yours.
If building the Mansion made you want to keep playing, I'd love to have you inside.
Your Mansion is built.
