Your Monster Mansion Is Ready! 🏚️👻
Your Monster Mansion is built, painted, folded, stacked, and ready for its first wonderfully weird residents.
And here's my favorite part:
It's not finished.
Actually, this is where the fun really begins.
Your mansion is meant to grow as you play with it.
Add doodles to the walls. Tuck things into the pockets. Make strange little signs. Add windows, doors, cobwebs, wallpaper, portraits, secret messages—or whatever else your mansion seems to need.
And, of course...
We need some monsters. 👀
This spooky season, I've been filling my own Monster Mansion one resident—and one wonderfully weird page—at a time.
A Vampire Cat moved in.
Then came a Zombie Mummy.
A Franken-Ghost found his way into the laboratory.
And now there are spiders creeping into the Mansion too.
Every new monster gives me another idea for the world around it.
Where does this creature live?
What might be hiding behind the door?
What belongs in its room?
Could there be a pocket, flap, pull-out, secret message, portrait, cobweb—or some other little surprise?
That's what Inside the Monster Mansion is all about.
We're not just making monsters.
We're building a wonderfully weird world for them to live in.
Inside the class, I'll keep adding new Mansion page projects, characters, interactive ideas, Monster Studies, printables, and process videos as Monster Mayhem continues.
You'll also get The Monster Machine, my playful monster-making tool for those moments when you need a strange little spark to get your imagination going.
It might mash two monsters together, exaggerate something about them, add an oddity, or give them a prop or companion.
Then you get to decide what happens next.
Maybe your monster becomes a portrait on the wall.
Maybe it needs its own room.
Maybe it lives behind a tiny door.
Maybe it crawls across an entire page.
Or maybe it becomes something neither of us has thought of yet.
Your mansion doesn't have to look like mine.
That's the whole point.
I'll show you what I'm creating, how I'm building my pages, and the little decisions I'm making along the way.
You can follow along, borrow an idea, change it completely, or let it inspire something of your own.
So keep your Monster Mansion nearby.
Leave some empty spaces.
Leave some pockets waiting.
Leave a few doors unopened.
Because we don't know who's moving in next. 🖤
Your Mansion is built.
Now let's bring it to life.
